Stephanie studied architecture at Nottingham University. Her expertise in historic building work dates from 1990 when she began working for Freeland Rees Roberts Architects in Cambridge. There she worked on a number of Cambridge colleges and a variety of listed buildings and scheduled ancient monuments.
She joined Purcell Miller Tritton in 1998 when she moved to London. Between 2005 and 2008 she returned to Cambridge, working in the practice’s studio there. Following two years at a smaller local practice, where she has gained complementary skills, she returned to Purcell Miller Tritton’s Cambridge studio as an Associate in January 2010.
Stephanie has acted as Project Architect on a wide range of alterations, conversions and extensions to existing buildings as well as the design of new buildings in a historic context. She understands the complexities and sensitivities involved in listed building work, both for private clients and public bodies like the National Trust.
She enjoys working collaboratively on projects for institutional bodies and is experienced at finding commonly acceptable solutions for stakeholders with differing priorities. Stephanie is quick to build up a rapport with everyone involved in a project, and clients value her organizational and diplomatic skills as well as her friendly approach.
