Kelley studied architecture at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. In 2000, following diverse experience with a large commercial practice in Australia, she moved to the UK where she completed her MA in Historic Building Conservation at the University of York.

Before joining the practice, Kelley pursued her particular interest in the conservation and regeneration of Modern listed buildings. Her work included a scheme to regenerate the Grade I listed Isokon Flats in Lawn Rd. NW3, which won the RIBA Crown Estate Conservation Award.

Since joining the practice, Kelley has continued to develop her experience of runing large-scale, challenging jobs from conception to completion. She has worked on a vast variety of buildings, including St. Paul's Cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Battersea Power Station, the Adelphi Building and Knole House.

Kelley's key skill is her ability to take a strategic overview of a complex site and to devise imaginative and pragmatic solutions. She has also become particularly adept at preparing detailed written reports and policy documents.
