Purcell Miller Tritton is acting as a consultant for the repair of a 19th-century waterwheel in Morden Hall Park. The scheme is part of a larger National Trust project to renovate Morden Hall’s 19th-century stable yard, build a new maintenance yard and install a turbine in the River Wandle.
The project is being developed by The National Trust in partnership with eight other European organisations as part of the livinggreen.eu initiative. This is a pioneering effort to promote the sustainable renovation of Europe’s built heritage.
Five heritage buildings in five countries across Europe will be renovated as sustainably as possible. The scheme at Morden Hall Park will help the National Trust meet its green targets and demonstrate sustainable technology to the public.
