  • 08/02/2010: Shaw House shortlisted for Civic Trust Award

    The practice's work at Shaw House has been shortlisted for a Civic Trust Award. This historic Elizabethan mansion was once the military headquarters of Charles I - musket balls from the Second Battle of Newbury have been found embedded in the brickwork. Despite its Grade I listing, the House fell into dereliction, and the practice was commissioned to bring it back into use.

  • 18/12/2009: Dover Castle stars in 'Time Team' Special

    On Saturday 19th December, Dover Castle will feature in a special edition of Channel 4’s Time Team. The programme, which will air at 8pm, will chart an ambitious £2.5m project at the Castle led and managed by Purcell Miller Tritton.

  • 07/12/2009: Darnley Mausoleum wins Country Life's Country House of the Year Award

    Darnley Mausoleum has won Country Life's 'Country House of the Year Award' for, 'An outstanding property that reflects sympathetic restoration, careful stewardship and heritage protection'. Left derelict in 1950, the imposing 18th-century mausoleum was so severely vandalized it seemed beyond repair. A restoration project, led by the practice, has returned the Grade I listed memorial to its former glory after nearly 60 years of decline.
