Mark Hammond, Partner

Position
Partner
Profession
Architect

Mark joined the practice as a recently qualified architect in 1995 following work at a number of small practices and a spell being self-employed. Initially a job runner on small schemes, Mark soon built up his knowledge working alongside the practice’s experienced architects and in time ran several major projects, some of which were selected for architectural awards. He became an Associate in 2000, a Partner in 2003, and he now manages the London studio.

'The experiences of my friends in the industry suggested that in order to progress and gain promotion you had to change jobs regularly, but my time at Purcell Miller Tritton has proved otherwise. I can see that my willingness to rise to new challenges has been rewarded with exciting project work and good training.

I am now pleased to be in a position to offer similar opportunities to other ambitious architects and assistants. Although I am now a Partner, I am still very much a working architect involved at the ‘sharp end’ of the work on site and this is where I have learnt the most.'
